Design for Body & Environment Graduate Catalogue
2021

The department of Design for Body and Environment graduating class of 2021 (BA Jewellery & Objects, BA Fashion Design, BA Textile & Surface Design) at the National College of Art and Design (Dublin, IE) were limited in displaying their work at the end of 2021 due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

As a solution to this issue, Emily undertook the design of a catalogue publication displaying the work of the 2021 graduates during their time working at No Bad News Studio.

The projects’ outcome took the form of three variants of a physical publication, including external wrapping tape presenting the three courses within the department. As well as physical distribution, digital promotion materials were included within the outcomes. The catalogues were supplied to students as well as sent to potential employers and clients within the design industry.

Working closely student representive Amy Kerr as well as faculty of the National College of Art and Design, Emily and Orla King of No Bad News Studio developed a bespoke solution to the unprecedented and unfair barriers created by COVID-19 that recent graduates face.
